Christmas Traditions
My family has the best Christmas traditions. One is hiding tiny, plastic baby Jesus. We also go to my kind Grandparents' house. One other awesome tradition is giving to others.
My family has an exiting nativity scene. The nativity scene comes with pocket sized baby Jesus. My mom likes to hide Him all over the mysterious living room, and the first person to find Him gets a delightful prize, but that's not all we do.
Every year we look forward to going to our grandparents' house to celebrate Christmas and the New Year. We also get to see our CRAZY cousin and aunt! We party and fill up on snacks till midnight. We all give enjoyable gifts to each other. All of us have a merry Christmas and happy New Year.
Giving gifts to others is awesome. It is wonderful to receive gifts, but it is better to give than receive. Last year my friendly family bought chickens and sent them to Africa to feed starving Africans. This year we gave money to Nazarene Compassionate Ministries. Nazarene Compassionate Ministries gives money to people in need of a home or food.
We all have traditions they may be giving away Christmas gifts, devouring roast beef, or playing fun games. Christmas traditions only make Christmas more fun.

What Is Special About a Gift
Giving and receiving gifts can be meaningful in many different ways. Gifts can be fun or funny, have special love attached to them, or be a sacrifice like God's gift of eternal life.
Once I gave away a picture of myself to someone at a Christmas party. I got my picture taken in the backyard. My mom and I put it in a frame and wrapped it in wrapping paper. My family and I went to a Christmas party. The special part about that gift was that it was a white elephant gift. When the guy opened the gift everyone at the party was laughing HARD! That might have been the most fun gift I've ever given.
My dad and I made a wonderful desk My desk wasn't a Christmas gift or birthday gift it was an awesome gift. I built my desk with my dad. I made my desk so I could construct Lego models on it. The desk is special because my dad spent money and lots of hard work on it. This gift might have had the most love attached to it.
Jesus died on the cross for me. Jesus died to wash away my sins. If I believe that He exists and that He died to save me than I will have everlasting life in Heaven. What a great gift! Jesus wants me to go to Heaven and live with him forever. The special thing is that Jesus also died for you and he loves and cares about every living thing on earth, and hopes you choose to believe in Him too. This is the most sacrificial gift I could ever receive

Popper Penguins News Article
Last night at the Tower Theater in Downtown Bend a man named Mr. Popper got arrested for disturbing the peace. He called the police and firemen to save his penguins from the seal act. The theater is alright.Mr. Popper's HILARIOUS acting penguins disturbed the peace by walking up on the stage when they weren't supposed to. Because of this the theater owner had to give the audience their admission back. Now, the theater lost a lot of money.
Mr. Popper called the police officers and firemen, so his penguins wouldn't get devoured by the starving seals on stage. It took a long time to find all of his 12 penguins (all over the theater). Soon the Police officers noticed that Mr. Popper's penguins were disturbing the peace in the theater, so they arrested him and his penguins. Mr. Popper's penguins trashed the theater, but they didn't destroy it. There were popcorn kernels, chewed up M&Ms, candy wrappers, and torn up popcorn boxes all over the theater.
Thankfully, the theater had insurance money to buy a new and improved vacuum. It will take a long time to to clean up the floor. But, the theater owner is hoping to reopen on Christmas Eve for James Vaughn's Performing Flamingos. Now that Mr. Popper and his penguins are in jail, and the theater is being cleaned, we will all be happy once again.Wednesday, July 20, 2011
Nectarines and Strawberries
Strawberries and nectarines have similar things. The two fruits also have differences. They are my two favorite fruits.
Strawberries are really sweet. They are bright red, and they have a lot of seeds. The outside of the fruit is covered in dark brown seeds. A strawberry is a cone shaped fruit, but It can sometimes be in the shape of a heart! It's stem is army green, and the stem has leaves on it.
The strawberry is similar to the nectarine. They both have stems and seeds. They also grow in the same climates. Nectarines and strawberries are both fruit. They both are scrumptious.
Nectarines can be yellow, orange, and red. A nectarine has one big seed in the middle of it. Nectarines can be TOTALLY juicy sometimes! Nectarines are smooth on the outside.

My Favorite Thing I Did This Summer
My favorite thing I did this summer was celebrate my birthday. I went to Goody's with my friend John Taylor, and my family, and I also went and swam at Juniper pool. Last but not least my parents got me Lego Pirates of the Caribbean.
I got Lego Pirates of the Caribbean for my birthday. The video game is so awesome. I played my new game until it was time to go. I like Lego Pirates of the Caribbean because its levels are a lot more like the Lego sets.
At Goody's we ate frozen, yummy yogurt with a delicious topping! My yogurt topping was gummy frogs. Once I found out my gummy frogs were rock solid , and I couldn't chew them, I was ready for cake. I blew out my melting birthday candles wishing next year would be even better. Then, I immediately I ate my cake, so we could go swim. I like Goody's because they have yummy candy and frozen yogurt.
After we ate we swam in the outdoor pool at Juniper Park. We went down the water slide until we decided it was too cold. Then we went to the inside pool. I jumped off the high dive for my first time and did a few more things, and we left. I like going to the pool because on burning hot days it feels magnificent.
All those fun things make up my favorite thing I did this summer. That was celebrating my birth.
