Popper Penguins News Article

     Last night at the Tower Theater in Downtown Bend a man named Mr. Popper got arrested for disturbing the peace.  He called the police and firemen to save his penguins from the seal act.  The theater is alright.
    Mr. Popper's HILARIOUS acting penguins disturbed the peace by walking up on the stage when they weren't supposed to.  Because of this the theater owner had to give the audience their admission back. Now, the theater lost a lot of money.
 Mr. Popper called the police officers and firemen, so his penguins wouldn't get devoured by the starving seals on stage.  It took a long time to find all of his 12 penguins (all over the theater).  Soon the Police officers noticed that  Mr. Popper's penguins were disturbing the peace in the theater, so they arrested him and his penguins.  Mr. Popper's penguins trashed the theater, but they didn't destroy it.  There were popcorn kernels, chewed up M&Ms, candy wrappers, and torn up popcorn boxes all over the theater.

     

     Thankfully, the theater had insurance money to buy a new and improved vacuum. It will take a long time to to clean up the floor. But, the theater owner is hoping to reopen on Christmas Eve for James Vaughn's Performing Flamingos.  Now that Mr. Popper and his penguins are in jail, and the theater is being cleaned, we will all be happy once again.

Nectarines and Strawberries

Strawberries and nectarines have similar things.  The two fruits also have differences.  They are my two favorite fruits.
     Strawberries are really sweet.  They are bright red, and they have a lot of seeds.  The outside of the fruit is covered in dark brown seeds.  A strawberry is a cone shaped fruit, but It can sometimes be in the shape of a heart!  It's stem is army green, and the stem has leaves on it.  
     The strawberry is similar to the nectarine.  They both have stems and seeds. They also grow in the same climates.  Nectarines and strawberries are both fruit.  They both are scrumptious.
     Nectarines can be yellow, orange, and red.  A nectarine has one big seed in the middle of it.  Nectarines can be TOTALLY juicy sometimes!  Nectarines are smooth on the outside. 
    Strawberries and nectarines are different and the same and that is what I like about them.

My Favorite Thing I Did This Summer

My favorite thing I did this summer was celebrate my birthday.  I went to Goody's with my friend John Taylor, and my family, and I also went and swam at Juniper pool.  Last but not least my parents got me Lego Pirates of the Caribbean.
   I got Lego Pirates of the Caribbean for my birthday.  The video game is so awesome.  I played my new game until it was time to go.  I like Lego Pirates of the Caribbean because its levels are  a lot more like the Lego sets.
     At Goody's we ate frozen, yummy yogurt with a delicious topping!  My yogurt topping was gummy frogs.  Once I found out my gummy frogs were rock solid , and I couldn't chew them, I was ready for cake.  I blew out my melting birthday candles wishing next year would be even better.  Then, I immediately I ate my cake, so we could go swim.  I like Goody's because they have yummy candy and frozen yogurt.
     After we ate we swam in the outdoor pool at Juniper Park.  We went down the water slide until we  decided it was too cold. Then we went to the inside pool.  I jumped off the high dive for my first time and did a few more things, and we left.  I like going to the pool because on burning hot days it feels magnificent.
   All those fun things make up my favorite thing I did this summer.  That was celebrating my birth.

USS Gator

USS Alligator is my Lego spaceship.  It dashes through outer space as fast as the speed of light.  If it lands on an interesting planet the pilot will have no problem surviving when he has sharp alligator fangs.  The USS Gator won't have any trouble seeing in the dark with its alligator eye headlights.  Its arrow dynamic shape helps it go super fast.  The nose of the ship allows it to find the safest place to be.  It's side building gives the ship extra detail, and makes it look more like an alligator.    The cannon on the bottom of the ship will protect it from its enemies. The spaceship's light blue flames help speed it up a bit so the pilot doesn't have to use his cannon on his enemies all the time. 

Reddy Teddy

Reddy Teddy is my cherished stuffed bear.  His silky red fur stands in tiny tufts.  The eyes he has on his adorable face are as black as obsidian.  He wears a woven ribbon around his soft neck with white hearts on it.  His tail is bushy as can be!  At the end of his snout is his cute raisin like nose.  On the two small sides of his body he has two little cute arms maybe 4 inches long.  Connected to Reddy Teddy's face are two small arched ears.  Reddy Teddy is super cute!  That is why he is cherished.

Reddy Teddy's Alter Ego

Reddy Teddy is my stuffed bear.  He has two personalities.  He looks so cute and cuddly but don't be fooled by what you think you see!  He uses his cute fluffy tail to lure his next victim into his huge fangs. That ferocious bear has blood red fur all over him.  His gigantic mouth allows him to devour his victim in 1 second!  His ears are so red it looks like they are burning,  So, beware if you see him! Don't pick him up, look at him, and do not even breathe when you pass by.

Church Camp Snack Shack

At church camp they have a snack shack. It has every kind of candy you would enjoy eating.  It even smells like candy when you pass by it.  The candy tastes SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO yummy!  When everyone is exited to have candy the kids can get pretty loud.  Never pick chocolate because it will melt, and it feels weird.  Every time I think of camp I think of the snack shack. 

My Cat Desi

My cat Desi is very cute.  He has two tiny glowing eyes and an arched back.  Desi is an outdoor black and white cat.  Sometimes he can be a real pest, but he is mostly a good cat.  DON'T tell the cat this but I think he sounds like a mouse when he purrs!  When I walk into the garage he will rub his head on my legs.  If you saw him you would think he is cute too.

Our Home School Field Trip To The Coast

I went to the Oregon coast with our home school group (the Taylors, Hofens, Applegarths, and us Vaughns) and, I also went to the Tillamook cheese factory!  we even managed to camp in a yurt, but somehow I survived the climb up the stairs in the Astoria Column, and we also decided to go to Fort Clatsop.

     We went to the Tillamook cheese factory and watched Gigantic blocks of cheese turn into regular sized blocks!  I got my picture taken in the loaf love van with John Taylor and my sister Hailey.  Later at the end of the tour I sampled cheese, and it was delicious!  Our home school group ate lunch there, and their food was great.  The part that I didn't like there was that I got ran over by the loaf love van!

     Camping in a yurt was beyond awesome. it is better than camping in a tent because in a tent it gets to cold.  You don't even have to set up a yurt!  inside a yurt it has a really cool bunk bed.  The yurt even has this thing called a futon which my sister calls a crouton.

     The Astoria Column has 164 stairs.  I climbed up those stairs 3 times and went down 3 times witch would mean I climbed 984 stairs!  I even got my picture taken of myself standing about half way in the middle of the column.  I bet you would want to come if I told you it was an awesome view.  When I was standing at the top everyone looks like really small bugs!

     All those cool places made me feel great.  I sure will always wish to go back someday.  I think we all had a very good time.

What I Want To Be When I Grow Up

  I don't know what I want to be when I grow up.  being a pastor would be cool.  I might like to be an architect.  I could even be an astronaut.  

     It would be awesome to be a pastor.  If I were a pastor I would tell people about God, and taste delicious food (our pastor gets invited to so many potlucks).  Maybe I would get to baptize some people, and read my favorite bible stories to everyone.  

     I would like to be an architect because I would design.  All I need is a measuring tape, graph paper, and a sharpened pencil with an eraser.    There is even lots of math involved (my favorite subject in school).  You wouldn't have to mess with wood, nails, or any other building supplies.  I wouldn't even have to smell the wood shavings (I think they smell wierd).

     I want to be an astronaut because I'd see things most people won't get to see, and I like hearing the rocket take off.  If I were an astronaut I would explore space.  I'd observe beautiful moons, stars, planets, and lots more things.  I might even get to fly a gigantic space ship.  I may even become famous.  

     All those things would be fun, but like I said I don't know what I want to be when I grow up.  They are all probably HARD, but I have a long time to think!

Swimming Lessons

     Finally I get to do swimming lessons.  I like swimming lessons.  Goggles sure do help me.  The group I'm in lets you use accessories.  I have a lot of trouble swimming sometimes.  
     I get to use kick boards. My teacher even throws small rings in the pool, and the rings sink to the bottom, so you have to get all the rings.  You even get to jump of the low diving board.  I use flippers too! 
     Goggles help because it is hard trying to get rings under water if you can't see.  Goggles help you when your swimming on your back by not letting the water go in your eyes. Say you were under water swimming and you didn't have goggles wouldn't you want some so you didn't hit the wall? 
     I have trouble swimming with my face in the water.  When you have your face in the water you will need air. When you get air you have to do a stroke, not only that but also I can't get enough air in between the stroke.  Sometimes I just get confused. 
     All that swimming is tyring but it is better than not knowing how to swim at all.  Cool accessories, awesome goggles, and hard swimming teach me how to swim.  Me knowing how to swim would help me a lot.

My Tenth Birthday

     On my tenth birthday I want to do lots of things.  I would invite many people.  I might eat tremendous amounts of food.  I will play awesome things.  I may get cool presents too.
     On my birthday I would invite lots of people.  I'd greatly wish to invite Ethan Ossana to my birthday party.  If I could invite John Taylor It would be spectacular, and he is nice to me in so many ways you could not count it.  I would absolutely love to invite Joshua Walter too.  I might like to invite my sister's friends, so my sisters won't bother me.  I probably will decide to invite my grandparents too. 

     It would be awesome if we did a buffet stile dinner like at Izzy's, and we will eat really good food.  We would eat extra cheesy mac and cheese, but we may also want warm chicken fettuccine Alfredo,  and steak with delicious baked potatoes.  If I wanted a desert I might pick chocolate cake with sweet raspberry sauce, and chocolate frosting on top. 

     We would play hide and seek, and We could play tug of war with a jump rope, and play capsher the flag in the pool.  We might play wii games too. it might be fun to build huge Lego creations with my best friends. 

     If I had a choice of what presents I wanted I would pick Legos.  I might also want Lego Pirates Of The Caribbean.  It would be cool to have Lego Star Wars The Clone Wars.  I wish I could have a BB gun for my birthday.  After the party they would drive home.  I will finish building my desk with my dad. 
     My birthday with my friends, yummy food, cool games, and awesome presents will make me extremely happy on my bday forever, and I might lye awake that night thinking what a wonderful birthday I had!

My Friend Ethan

My friend Ethan is very nice. He and I do lots of fun things together.  We have rafted in the Deschutes river, played water games in our pool,  and jumped on a trampoline.  Ethan is also nice because he plays Legos with me.  When he meet new people he is soundless like a mouse.  As you get to know him you'd think he is nice too.
     I met him in public school in second grade.  He decided to ask me if I wanted to be his friend, so I said sure and I've known him ever since.  He and I help each other when we get hurt.  We even help others too.  Once we saw a dog on the road it was my sister Violet's friend's dog, so we took it were it needed to be!  Now we are best friends.

My Friend John

John is very energetic.  I met him at the Bend Church of the Nazarene.  We were best buddies till his family started going to Mission Church.  Now I home school with him.  John is a very cool boy because he is fun.  He can be very tenderhearted sometimes.  John is always watching to see if someone is hurt and he cares, and helps them.  He is lots like me.  We do lots of fun stuff like climbing trees, fantasy games, and more.  How is that not cool?  We even play Wii games.

Joseph writing activity

"Hi" Im Joseph.  My mean brothers threw me In the cistern, then I was just about to freak out.  I heard them talking.  They said they would sell me as a slave. I yelled, "NO! please don't."  I could not stop them! I wondered where was I going, but then I saw an auction block ahead. I saw a sign it said EGYPTIAN AUCTION BLOCK!
I was sold to an Egyptian man named Potiphar.  When I got to his home I found out that if I did a good job at my work I would get promoted, so I obeyed and did my duty well.  I was put in charge of Potiphar's whole household.  His wife did not like that, so she said I stole something, and then I was put in jail before I could say a word.

Adopting Children

     I think adopting children would be spectacular,  but still I want to be second oldest in my family.  The person we adopt can be the same age as me if my parents want.  I personally prefer a boy, but I really think adopting a girl would be awesome.  I think it would be a good thing if my family adopted kids, and not only that but God says in the Bible to help orphans and widows.
       I am excited  about the idea of maybe adopting new siblings.  I know Robin is excited because she keeps on asking, "Are we still adopting?"  I want to adopt because it would make things more fun.  I think if we got a boy he may want to play Legos with me. My whole family is so excited that we are praying a lot.

My Mom

My mom is very nice.  She is incredible.  She helps me with school work and plays with me.  When I need help she's there.  My mom is helpful.  My awesome mom does not only help me, but she helps  others too.
      My mom shares with me.  She even picks on me.  I love her because she loves me too.  My mom also takes me to fun places.  So how could that not be nice?

Obi

Obi is always funny, cool and smart.  Obi is cool because he does tricks with his tennis ball.  He acts funny all the time because he puts his chew toy cow ears in the most obvious places ever.  He's smart in his actions he sometimes waits under the table for someone to drop food on the ground so he can eat it.  Obi is also a crazy dog, because he sometimes runs back and fourth all around the house.

     Sometimes Obi is bad.  Once Obi tore a huge hole in the carpet.  He has even peed on the floor.  He's chewed a hole in my blanket too.  Sometimes at night he creeps into the dark dark kitchen and devours a stick of butter.

My Sisters

I love my sisters (Robin, Hailey, and Violet).

 I love them because they are nice cute and funny.  Sometimes I'm board without my awesome sisters.   What would I do with no sisters?  They EVEN let me play with them!

     Hailey is probably my funniest sister.  Robin is my cutest sister.  Violet is my nice example.  they are all nice to me James.  My sisters are very reliable and helpful.

  

How Dirty My Socks Are

     Some of my socks are dirty.  Some socks that I have have holes.  My socks are worn out.  Most of the socks I have that are dirty were white.  My socks are dirty because I walked without shoes on the garage floor,they're also dirty because I went into a river with them on.

       Some of my socks are  thick some are thin.  My socks feel funny when they are dirty.  My socks are extremely gross.  I can't believe my sisters wear them.  Sometimes the socks are so dirty my mom throws them away.

Video Games

     Video games are fun to play with.  You can push buttons and dream about doing what the character does.  Video games are fun to play with in the living room wile sitting on the couch.  I like to play the ones that aren't bloody.  You can play video games on different game systems like Wii, Play station, Game cube, Xbox, and game boy.
     I like to play Lego video games.  I play Lego video games because they combine two things I love to do in one Legos and video games.   On the Lego games you can build, attack, climb, jump, ride vehicles and more!  Most Lego video games are good because when you die you break into pieces you don't look like what you really would.  There are lots of different Lego video games like Lego Star Wars, Lego Indiana Jones, Lego Indiana Jones crystal skull and Harry Potter too.

I Love God Because...

     I love God He created me my friends and the earth.  I know that because in (Genesis 1:1) it says in the beginning God Created the heavens and the earth.  I also love God because He is amazing He can perform miracles  like when He made walls in the Red sea.  I don't only love God because He made me but He got me through almost 10 years on this world.  He loves me so I love God back.God also gives us all a choice to either sin or not sin. If you love Him and invite him to be your savior He will let you into the gates of heaven.  I love God because he made it so I can repent my sins and He will forgive me.  I can tell God loves me He forgives me for my sins so I love Him too.  I know He loves me cause He made heaven for anyone.
